Science Summer School

Our Academic Approach

At SBC, we believe in learning by doing. We go beyond the curriculum to create an environment where students are encouraged to use new skills, explore new ideas, and grow in a supportive, nurturing setting.

Through a range of interactive classroom lessons with their teachers, students engage with important concepts from their subject, whilst also developing important soft skills such as critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork – all while improving their ability to express themselves in English and work with others.

Learning at summer school extends beyond the classroom, though, with every Wednesday dedicated to hands-on, immersive experiences. Students will join a full-day documentary filmmaking workshop, where they’ll create their own documentary capturing a day in the life at summer school. The following Wednesday, they’ll embark on a cultural adventure in London, exploring an art museum and enjoying a thrilling West End show.

The Student Experience

At SBC, everything we do is focused on creating the best experience for our students. That’s why we work with tutors who are not only experts in their subjects but are also passionate about inspiring young people. We believe teaching is both a skill and an art, so we carefully choose teachers who are not only knowledgeable but also kind, approachable, and skilled at bringing out the best in students. Our goal is to make a lasting impact that stays with students long after their final class
