The teacher really brought the subject to life

I enjoyed learning about lots of different authors and improving my own writing style. The teacher really brought the subject to life.

Learning English Through Digital

In our Digital programmes students are able to develop their subject knowledge, whilst enhancing their English, through a Content and Language Integrated Learning approach known as CLIL.

Through the CLIL methodology students are immersed in academic English, enabling them to build their confidence and adapt to academic environments where English is the primary spoken language.

To enable future success in English speaking countries and universities, our Computer Science and Digital Media programmes have the following four objectives:

Content: To improve knowledge of subject areas.

Communication: To grow English language proficiency through learning together using a communicative and collaborative approach to learning.

Cognition: Develop 21st Century Skills, such as, collaborating, presenting, and critical thinking.

Culture: To provide a multicultural learning environment where students can embrace all of the benefits of cross-cultural learning, including: enhanced creativity, deeper cultural awareness and sensitivity, and a love of working with people from diverse cultures.

Time to Shine

For our Foundation and Digital courses, students come together to take part in a group presentation called Time to Shine. For this school ceremony, students work together in small groups to conceptualize and develop their own ideas, before sharing them with the rest of the school.

magine the excitement of being asked to solve real world problems using programming skills you learnt only days before? Or how much you would learn about innovative software solutions by designing your own game or creating a web app? Everything about our Time to Shine projects is designed to enable students to develop valuable 21st Century skills, such as collaborating, leadership, critical thinking, and presenting. Enabling students to develop an in demand skill set that is attractive to future employers.
