Mix of theory and experiments

I enjoyed the mixture of theory and experiments. It was interesting to put into practice everything we had learned.

Learning English Through Psychology

The Summer Boarding Courses’ Psychology programme is designed to teach the English language by providing students with a theoretical and practical insight into psychology. In this course, English language and psychology are combined together, so that knowledge of both areas are developed simultaneously.

Our Psychology programmes has the following four goals:

  • Gain insights into the foundations of psychology and the intricacies of human behaviour.
  • Explore various psychological theories and their real-world applications.
  • Design and execute a psychological experiment, collecting and analysing data.
  • Develop essential 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, effective communication, collaboration, and creativity, through engaging activities and practical exercises.

Time to Shine

In our Psychology course, students work together in small groups to take part in a research project and presentation called Time to Shine.

During this project, learners get to do far more than practise their presentation skills, but will get to work in detail to deliver an in-depth case study on various aspects of human behaviour. In the second week’s “Time to Shine” project, students will create their own mental health awareness campaign. They will select a specific mental health issue, and design a comprehensive campaign to raise awareness to their fellow students.
